At The Chakki Project, we are committed to delivering fresh, high-quality, traditionally processed food products. As our products are perishable food items, we follow a limited return and refund policy to ensure food safety and maintain product quality.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Return Eligibility

Due to the nature of food products, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been delivered, except in the following situations:

  • You received the wrong product.

  • The product was damaged during transit.

  • The product packaging was tampered with or opened before delivery.

  • The product has passed its expiry or best-before date at the time of delivery.

  • The delivered quantity differs significantly from the confirmed order.

2. Non-Returnable Products

For hygiene and food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Opened or partially consumed products.

  • Products stored improperly after delivery.

  • Products returned without original packaging (where applicable).

  • Products purchased during clearance or promotional sales, unless damaged or incorrect.

3. Reporting an Issue

If you receive a damaged, incorrect, or defective product, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

To help us resolve your request quickly, please share:

  • Your order number (if available).

  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging.

  • A brief description of the issue.

4. Refunds

If your request is approved after verification, we may offer one of the following:

  • A replacement product.

  • A refund to your original payment method (for prepaid orders).

  • Store credit, where mutually agreed.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 5–7 business days, depending on your payment provider or bank.

5. Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before they are packed or dispatched.

Once an order has been packed, prepared, or dispatched, cancellation requests may not be accepted.

To request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible via WhatsApp or phone.

6. Failed Deliveries

If delivery cannot be completed due to reasons attributable to the customer, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect address.

  • Incorrect phone number.

  • Customer unavailable to receive the order.

  • Repeated refusal to accept delivery.

The order may be cancelled without eligibility for a refund, particularly where perishable products are involved.

7. Natural Variations

Our products are made from natural ingredients using traditional methods. Variations in:

  • Colour

  • Aroma

  • Texture

  • Taste

may occur between batches and are not considered defects.

8. Quality Commitment

Every product is carefully sourced, processed, packed, and inspected before dispatch.

If you believe the quality of a product does not meet reasonable expectations, please contact us. We review each case individually and aim to provide a fair resolution.
